The genre of the Japanese “light novel” is getting steadily more popular internationally as well. However, many authors and amateur writers ask themselves: What exactly is a light novel? What aspects do I need to be aware of and, most importantly, how do I write my own light novel? As an author, I’ve been working on this topic for a long time and teach creative writing panels at various adult education centers. Two of my own Lightnovels are already in the releasing process and can be used as examples for the panel.
